Foundant Technologies, Inc. collects information from our users at several different points on our website to enable us to better inform you about our products. Foundant Technologies, Inc. is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.
Personally Identifiable Information
Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is any data that could potentially identify a specific individual, including, but not limited to: name, title, functional role, organization name, organization type, postal address, telephone number, or email address. If you submit any PII relating to other people to us, you represent those people on their behalf and agree that you have the permission to do so. We may collect PII through our sites, e.g., when you request a free trial, demo, or pricing request, contact us via chat or the Contact Us form, register for a webinar or event, subscribe to our email newsletter, or download content (e.g. whitepapers). Foundant Technologies, Inc. does not share any personally identifiable or private customer information submitted online with third parties.
We may also collect PII from you offline, such as when you attend one of our events, during phone calls with sales representatives, or when you contact customer service.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file containing a unique identification number that is transferred from a website to the hard drive of your computer allowing the website to identify you and track your activities on our site. Cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to simplify and enhance the experience on our site. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie information is no longer available through our server. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether to accept it. If a user rejects the cookie, they may still use our site.
IP Addresses
An IP Address is a number that is automatically assigned to the computer you are using by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). An IP Address may be identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever you access this website, along with the time of the visit and the page(s) that you visited. Collecting IP Addresses is standard practice and is done automatically by many websites, applications, and other services. An IP Address does not enable us to access personally identifying information, such as email addresses.

Foundant Technologies, Inc. Client Base Camp
Foundant Technologies, Inc. Base Camp is available in its entirety to Foundant Technologies, Inc. clients (excluding clients of the GrantHub product). Base Camp is housed in Wisetail, a learning management system. Please refer to https://www.wisetail.com/privacy-policy/ for more information regarding their privacy policy. Clients can also access the Knowledge Base through Base Camp, which is housed in the customer support software Helpjuice. Please refer to https://help.helpjuice.com/privacy-policy for more information regarding their privacy policy. Additionally, clients can access the Idea Lab, which is housed in the customer support software UserVoice and their privacy policy can be viewed at https://www.uservoice.com/privacy/.
Upon first accessing Base Camp, clients are required to build a profile. The client’s name and email are automatically populated into their profile. Optionally, clients can provide phone number and address, a description of their organization, their professional organization affiliations, social handles, and general information regarding how they use Foundant’s products. Once the profile is created, clients can choose to provide their birth month and day, as well as a profile picture. Profile information is visible to all client and employee Base Camp users. At this time, we do not analyze or do anything outside of what is described here with the provided profile information.
Client information is neither collected or stored in Foundant’s Knowledge Base. Backend analytics can be seen by select Foundant Technologies Inc. staff to understand what information is being accessed, but these analytics are not tied to specific user(s).
Clients who choose to participate in Idea Lab by posting comments or adding suggestions, must provide an email address, but can opt to remain anonymous to all other Idea Lab users. Clients may choose to share their identity by providing their name when posting.
Communications
Foundant Technologies, Inc. may need to communicate with you for a variety of different reasons, including:
- Responding to your questions and requests. If you contact us with a problem or question, we will use your information to respond.
- Sending you service and administrative emails and messages. We may contact you to inform you about changes in our services, our service offerings, and important service related notices, such as billing, security, and fraud notices. These emails and messages are considered a necessary part of the services and you may not opt-out of them.
- Sending emails about new products or other news about Foundant Technologies, Inc. that we think you would like to hear about either from us or from our business partners. You can always opt out of these types of messages at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email communication.
Webinars
Foundant Technologies, Inc. offers its users an opportunity to participate in live Webinars which are hosted by ZOOM. A participant must register to take part in the Webinar. The information collected at the time of registration (such as name, email address, organization name, etc.) enables us to contact the participant with unique login information for the Webinar. This information may also be used to contact the participant about our services either by phone or via email. From time-to-time, we work with third-party business partners to co-sponsor Educational Webinars, hosted by Foundant Technologies, Inc. We may share PII that is collected on the Webinar registration form with these partners. When you register for a Webinar with third-party business partners, you consent to allow our partners to send you marketing communications and information that may be of interest to you. A user may opt-out of being contacted in the future by visiting our Subscription Preferences Page.
Surveys
From time-to-time, we conduct surveys via email to request information from users. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and the user has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and email address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Survey information will be used to provide better support and services.
Accessing Your Data
Please contact us here if you need assistance in reviewing your information. Foundant Technologies, Inc. will respond to your access request to review the information we have on file for you within a reasonable timeframe.
We may also collect information on behalf of our customers to provide the services, and we may not have a direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data is processed. If you are an end-user of one of our customers, please contact them (as the data controller) directly if: (i) you would no longer like to be contacted by them; or (ii) to access, correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data. If requested to remove data by our customer, we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. Please note that we may need to retain certain information for recordkeeping purposes.
We may transfer personal information to companies that help us provide our service, and when we do, these transfers to subsequent third parties are covered by appropriate transfer agreements. We will retain personal data we process on behalf of our customer as needed to provide services to our customers. Also, we will retain this personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Information that we collect and maintain may be transferred to, or controlled and processed in, the United States and/or other countries around the world. Security
Foundant Technologies, Inc. follows generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once it is received. However, no security measure is perfect. We recommend safeguarding your password, as it is one of the easiest ways you can manage the security of your own account – remember that if you lose control over your password, you may lose control over your personal information.
Credit Cards
We currently contract with Stripe to provide credit card processing services to enable you to purchase some of our products online via a credit card. In connection with the processing of such payments, we do not retain your credit card numbers. Rather, your credit card numbers and necessary billing information are provided to Stripe, whose use of your personal information is governed by their privacy policy, which may be viewed at https://stripe.com/us/privacy. For your protection, you should never place your credit card details in unencrypted emails.
Updating Personal Information and Opting Out
We encourage our users to update our record of any personal information which changes (such as your email address). Information can be corrected/updated on any registration form on our website. Users can opt-out at any time by visiting our Subscription Preferences Page.
Selling Data to Third Parties
We do not sell data to third parties, or share it in any way that is different from what is described in this Privacy Policy. You can exercise the right to explicitly opt out of having your data sold by filling out the form on the following web page: Do Not Sell My Personal Information.
Notification of Changes
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes we will update the last revision date, which is also when the updated policy goes into effect. If you continue to use the site or services after those changes are in effect, you agree to the revised policy.
